Compassion in World Farming is delighted to announce that last night (Wednesday 28 September) our Annual Review 2009/2010 won a Third Sector Excellence Award 2011!
Third Sector is the UK's leading publication for everyone who needs to know what's going on in the voluntary and not-for-profit sector.
Richard Brooks, Director of Marketing at Compassion says: "We are over the moon to have won an Excellence Award for our Annual Review. The review, which outlines the year's achievements, is a real reflection of the passion and commitment of our supporters. But we always need more people to join our fight against factory farming, so anyone who is interested in finding out more about what we do should get in touch."
Why us?
Commendations went to Macmillan Cancer Support and Parkinson's UK, but the judges felt Compassion's Annual Review was worthy of the award as it demonstrated the impact we are making as an organisation. They were impressed by the way we clearly laid out our goals and achievements for the year.
Method of judging
The judges considered all entries, looking for examples of excellence that contributed to the overall success of the annual reports. The category was very well received this year, with over 30 entrants. When we were shortlisted we were told that all the entrees were very high in calibre and the judges were unanimous in their thoughts and scoring for Compassion's entry.
