International Awareness Day: 14th June
On 14th June 2023, campaigners around the world will unite for the eighth annual Ban Live Exports: International Awareness Day. Will you join us and call for an end to this cruel trade?
- Spread the word on social media using #BanLiveExports
- Download a Ban Live Exports poster – or make your own – to display in your window or take a selfie.
Why take part?
The global community against the cruel live export trade has recently achieved huge progress: A ban on live exports by sea from New Zealand. A court ruling to stop cattle exports from Brazilian ports. And a commitment by the Australian Government to end live sheep exports by sea.
But it's vital that we keep up the momentum. Every year, worldwide, millions of farmed animals are crammed into trucks and ships and transported hundreds – even thousands – of miles. They may face stress, exhaustion, hunger, dehydration, injury or even death.
In short, we need people around the world to raise their voices on International Awareness Day. Because this trade must end. Everywhere. Forever.
Thank you. Together we will #BanLiveExports
