Shop with compassion
Anybody can help reduce live exports by buying calf friendly produce:
- Buy British beef and rosé veal reared to higher welfare standards. Avoid "white veal" reared in barren systems in continental Europe
- Buy milk and dairy products only from farms that do not sell their surplus male calves for export for veal production, such as Soil Association certified products
- To avoid milk from dairy farms which shoot male calves at birth or sell them for export, choose a dairy-free alternative, such as soya or rice milk and dairy-free cheese and yoghurt
