Bake with Compassion
6 – 12 July 2009
Thank you to all of you who took part in our very first Bake with Compassion week. We hope that you all enjoyed the week. We’ve heard from many of our supporters who took part in the week and we’ve been really impressed by all your Bake with Compassion events.
Bake with Compassion is a fantastic way to raise funds to support our work, as well as being a great opportunity to raise awareness for laying hens and talking to people about their consumer choices.
Take some inspiration from the below events that took place in 2009 and why not organise your own Bake with Compassion event?
Helen's Compassionate Cafe
Our supporter Helen and her Compassion group held a cake sale during the week at Spitalfields City Farm.

Nicola at Abel & Cole
Nicola and all her colleagues at Abel & Cole organised a cake sale at work as part of the week to raise funds for Compassion.
Why take part?
The Beech Café at the Sustainability Centre in East Meon also got involved:
"The Beech Café assembled a fantastic range of cakes, biscuits and pastries for the Bake with Compassion event on behalf of Compassion in World Farming. All the sweet treats were made with free-range organic eggs to promote ethical egg production and animal welfare. The Sustainability Centre believes ethical and environmentally friendly food production to be vital for a more sustainable future, whilst providing a tasty treat for all the staff and volunteers."
Mary Lewis, manager of the Sustainability centre
